Description

A range of farmbuildings dates from the 17th to 19th centuries, situated north of Hamlet House. The range includes an 18th-century granary, timber-framed and clad in black tarred weatherboard, with a half-hipped clay peg tiled roof. Attached is an 18th-century, open-sided cart shed, also timber-framed and weatherboarded, featuring a steeply pitched clay pantiled roof. This is flanked by an early 19th-century, five-bay barn, timber-framed and tarred weatherboarded with a slate roof, and a central waggon entrance. Two symmetrically arranged, early 19th-century timber-framed and weatherboarded implement sheds with clay pantiled roofs front Lower Pond Street, forming the entrance to the group. The buildings are included on the list for their group value.
