Description

Farthing Green is a house built around 1600, featuring a timber-framed and plastered structure with cross wings at both the north and south ends. The house is positioned at right angles to the road and has two storeys. The upper storeys of the cross wings are jettied on the west front. The south gable displays original bargeboards and remnants of ornamental pargetting, which includes a band of arabesques. On the ground storey, there is a window with a roughly moulded sill, and the house has casement windows. A modern gabled porch extends from the front, and the roof is tiled with a central chimney stack.
