Description

Freshfields is a late 16th century timber-framed house featuring exposed timber-framing and plaster infill. It stands two storeys high and has a three-window range with casements that include leaded lights. The north end of the house has a jettied upper storey supported by exposed joists, and there is an original panelled door. The roof is thatched, hipped at the south end, and extends over the jettied section of the upper storey. Inside, the house retains its exposed timber-framing, ceiling beams, and joists.
