Description
Woodhams is a late 14th century open hall house with a cross-wing, which underwent extensive alterations in the early 16th century and was extended in the 17th century. The building is timber framed and plastered, topped with a red plain tile roof. It features a window range of two, one, and one modern casements with leaded lights, along with a modern gabled porch. Inside, much of the original frame remains, showcasing jowled storey posts, stop-chamfered beams, carved wall bracing, and diamond mullion windows. There is also a large late 15th century red brick chimney stack with an oak mantel beam.
