Description

This is a timber-framed house with a shop, originally built in the 17th century, but considerably altered and extended during the 18th century and later. The main part of the house is two storeys high with attics, featuring a three-window front, a central doorway, and a canted bay window on the ground floor at the north end. A two-storey addition extends to the south, with a single window and a 20th-century shop front built out across the ground floor. The windows are double-hung sash windows with glazing bars. The doorway has a rusticated surround, narrow fluted pilasters, and a curved pediment. The roofs are tiled, with a coved plaster eaves cornice and three hipped dormers on the main block.
