Description
Place Farm Farmhouse is a 16th-century timber-framed house built in a half H plan, with additions from the 17th and 19th centuries. It has two storeys, with gabled ends at the front and an upper storey that jetties out over the whole front, showcasing exposed joists and timber-framing. The façade features a range of three windows, primarily 4-light casements with leaded lights. The roof is tiled and includes a notable original central chimney stack with five octagonal shafts arranged on a cruciform base. Inside, the farmhouse has moulded ceiling beams.
