Description
Buckingham's Farmhouse is a 15th-century hall house with a cross-wing at the east end, which was extensively altered in the 16th century. It is timber framed and plastered, topped with a red plain tile roof. The building has two storeys and features a 1-2 window range of 18th-century double hung vertical sliding sashes with glazing bars. There is a flat door canopy supported by brackets, and a 16th-century red brick chimney stack with attached diagonal shafts. Lean-to extensions are present at both the east and west ends. Additionally, the wing at the rear of the cross-wing may have served as a kitchen in the 16th century.
