Description

Apple Tree Cottage is a pair of cottages, originally dating from the 17th and 18th centuries. They are timber-framed and were later plastered. In the 20th century, they were renovated and joined to form a single dwelling. The cottages are one storey in height with attics. They have casement windows and thatched roofs with dormer windows. The western cottage has a modern wing added to its east end, while the eastern cottage has been faced with painted brick. Despite later alterations and additions, the cottages retain much of their original character.
