Description
Ornamental steps flanked by urns are located approximately 100 meters north of the gatehouse at St Osyth's Priory. These steps date from the 18th or 19th century and are constructed of stone and plaster.
The flight consists of three steps that rise up a slight bank and are bordered by low concave walls. These walls have low plinth terminals to the south, which are topped by ball finials. On either side of the top step, there are bulbous urns featuring eight foliate side panels. Each urn is topped with a moulded lid that has knobs and is supported by moulded stems on square plinths with moulded tops.
