Description
Peldon Rose Public House is a 15th-century building that was extensively altered in the early 17th century. It features a timber frame with plaster and a red plain tile roof. The structure has one storey and attics, with a two-storey crosswing at the north end. The crosswing, which originally jutted out, has been underbuilt. There is a lean-to extension at the north end. The building has a window arrangement of three: one: one, with modern casements that include leaded lights. It also has one gabled dormer. The timber frame is exposed on the inside, and there are some 17th-century doors and panels that feature scalloped ornament in low relief. The 17th-century chimney stack has been extensively rebuilt.
