Description
Maltings Farm House is a 16th-century timber-framed house that has been rendered and features a steeply pitched plain tile roof, with one end hipped and the other gabled. It has a coved eaves cornice and a large brick chimney stack that is off-centre. The house has a long two-storey range, with the southeast elevation displaying four widely spaced windows; the first floor has three-light casements, while the ground floor includes sash windows and a modern French window.
At the rear (northwest), there are two pairs of gabled wings, which are plastered and weatherboarded. The southwest wing has been extended in brick and features a hipped roof. Inside, the house has chamfered ceiling beams and exposed joists, with a roof structure that includes side purlins and collars.
