Description

Porters Hall is a 17th-century timber-framed and plastered house located in Great Waltham, built on an L-shaped plan with wings extending to the north-east and south-east. The south-east wing is faced in red brick and features end pilasters. The building is two storeys high and has a three-window range on the south-west front, with paired windows on the ground storey. The north-west front has a two-window range, and all windows are casements. The roofs are tiled, featuring a small gablet at the north-west end and an original cruciform chimney stack.
