Description

This is an 18th-century house, extended in the 19th and 20th centuries. It is timber-framed and has plaster walls, covered by a roof of handmade red clay tiles. The house originally had three bays facing northwest, with a central chimney stack. A 19th-century wing extends to the rear of the right side, and a 20th-century, single-story extension projects from the rear left corner. The main section of the house has one storey and an attic. The ground floor has two 20th-century casement windows and one 19th-century fixed window set high under the eaves. A dormer window with 20th-century casements is visible in the roof. A 20th-century door provides access. The roof is a gambrel style on both the main range and the rear wing. Within the right bay is a reused 16th-century axial beam, with a chamfered edge and a step stop at one end. The left bay contains a 18th-century axial beam, also chamfered, with run-out stops.
