Description
Easterford Mill House is an 18th-century house that features a timber frame covered with plaster over weatherboarding and is topped with a roof of handmade red plain tiles. The main section of the house faces northwest and is adjacent to Easterford Mill on the left side, with an external stack located at the junction. At the rear right angle, there is a short range that runs parallel to the main range, which has a fully hipped roof and an external stack at the right end, enclosed by a single-storey lean-to extension. The house is two storeys tall and has a two-window range of early 19th-century tripartite sashes with 4-12-4 lights, along with one early 19th-century sash window that features a semi-circular head and small panes, positioned centrally above the door. The front door is a 20th-century addition located in front of a 20th-century lean-to porch. The building is depicted in a photograph from around 1865, which appears in the book "Kelvedon and its Antiquities" by B.L. Kentish, published in 1974, on plate 7.
