Description
Red House is a large late 18th-century house made of red brick, featuring wings that extend to the east and a cross wing at the south end. The building has two storeys with attics and a basement, and the roofs are tiled. The main façade has a five-window range with vertical sliding sashes, while the south cross wing also has a five-window range with vertical sliding sashes. The west front displays a moulded cornice above the first floor and a stucco band between the storeys. The central entrance features a six-panel door topped with a pediment head, flanked by fluted pilasters with Ionic capitals, and is accessed by steps. The north side and rear of the house have been negatively affected by 20th-century alterations.
