Description
Wayletts is a 16th-century farmhouse that features a timber frame and plaster exterior. The west front of the building originally had a jettied upper storey, but this was underbuilt in the 18th century. The upper storey now displays 20th-century pargetted patterns. The house is two storeys high and has a three-window range with double-hung sash windows that include glazing bars, set in plain reveals. There is a doorcase with reeded pilasters and a cornice. At the south end, a large external chimney stack has offsets and is decorated with black brick diapering, although the upper part has been rebuilt. The chimney stack at the north end has also been rebuilt. The rear of the house features three gables, and the roof is tiled.
