Description

Hatches Farmhouse is a 16th century timber-framed and plastered house located on Hatches Farm Road in Little Burstead. The building features a cross wing at the south end that jetties out on the first storey. At the north end, there is a modern gabled wing. The farmhouse has two storeys and is fitted with casement windows, while the roof is tiled. Inside, the farmhouse retains features from the 16th and 17th centuries, including panelling and doors dating from around 1545, which are intricately carved with heads in roundels, cupids, and foliage.
