Description

Mulberry House is a house with origins in the 17th century, significantly altered and expanded in the 19th century. It comprises two parallel ranges, with a later addition running parallel to the original. The house is constructed of painted gault brick, with a red pantile and modern interlocking tiled roof. The west elevation, dating to the 19th century, presents a common gabled facade and features a coped parapet. Three recessed sash windows are set on the first floor, each with a segmental brick arch. Below, two sash windows flank a central door with a half-glazed panel, all similarly arched. The interior of the original southern range retains chamfered ceiling beams. The north range is a later addition. The building is documented in the Royal Commission on Historical Monuments for East Cambridgeshire, page 61, and monument 21.
