Description

Reed Cottage is a cottage dating from the late 18th century or early 19th century, constructed of yellow-grey brick with mingled brick at the rear, and featuring a mansard roof thatched with reed. The building has two end stacks and is designed in a T-plan, with a two-storey service wing at the rear, which may be a later addition or possibly raised by one storey, as indicated by its low-pitched slated roof. The cottage has one storey and attics, with two dormers. The main elevation includes a doorway with a 19th-century reeded doorcase, flanked by canted bay windows.
