Description

The Post Office Sorting Office, built around 1850, is a two-storey building located on George Street in Huntingdon. It is constructed from gault brick and features stucco dressings and quoins. The front has three bays, with canted bay windows on the ground floor and paired sash windows above. There is a single sash window in the center, situated over a solid porch with double doors that have a keyed head and an incised panel labeled 'Post Office'. The building is topped with a heavy modillion cornice and has a flipped slate roof. The side elevations each have three windows.
