Description

This building comprises numbers 59 and 60 High Street, Huntingdon. It likely has a core dating back to the 16th century, but the front facade was rebuilt in the early 19th century. The building is constructed of painted brick and extends to two storeys and attics. It features a late 19th-century shopfront at street level, with three sash windows above. A cornice runs along the top of the facade, surmounted by a parapet. The roof is tiled and includes two flat-topped dormers. According to local records, the building was once occupied by the poet William Cowper for a short period.
