Description

Waresley Hall is an east range of a house originally composed of four ranges around a courtyard. The house was extensively remodelled around 1840, and the present exterior appearance dates from that period. The building is constructed of brick, rendered with cement, and has a hipped slate roof. It is of two unequal storeys and six window bays, with two bays projecting slightly and topped by a pediment featuring vase ornaments. Recessed hung sashes with glazing bars are present on the ground floor, and similar, smaller windows are on the first floor. A doorcase is formed of engaged Doric columns, an entablature, and a pediment. The entrance features a six-panelled door with radial glazing bars to a fanlight.
