Description
Nos. 5 and 6 on The Square are a pair of late 17th century cottages that have been significantly altered in the 19th century. They are constructed with a timber frame and roughcast render, topped with a thatched, half-hipped roof featuring three 19th century gault brick stacks with projecting capping. The cottages are one storey high with attics, and include two dormers and a large gable. The exterior has five modern lattice windows and two doorways. Inside No. 5, the layout consists of three bays with a lobby entry. The interior features chamfered and stopped main beams, along with two small abutting inglenooks.
