Description
Selwyn College Entrance Block was built between 1882 and 1889 by Sir Arthur Blomfield. The building faces the quadrangle and has three storeys with attics. It features a central gateway flanked by gabled bays and tall chimneys. On the street side, the most prominent feature is the four-storey central gate tower, which includes a turret and battlements. The entrance has a four-centred archway, and the first and second floors are adorned with five-light oriel windows that have mullions and a transom. The third floor showcases a five-light diamond lattice window with a traceried head.
