Description

Clough Hall at Newnham College, built in 1888, is a notable building featuring a central range with square wings at each end. The east wing has three storeys and is characterized by two-light, small-paned casement windows with rubbed brick arches, shaped gables, a valley roof, and lead downpipes. The central range presents a five-bay gabled front to the street, with two additional bays set back at either end, also comprising three storeys and a central Venetian feature. The west wing has two storeys and an attic, with a band at the first-floor level, oriel windows on the west front, dormers with semi-circular pediments, and shaped gables topped with finials.
