Description
King's College, Fellows' Building, was constructed between 1724 and 1731, designed by architect James Gibbs. It is made of wrought Portland stone and features slate roofs. The building has three storeys and a basement, with the basement storey being rusticated. All elevations are symmetrical, and the main front consists of 21 bays, highlighted by a central gatehall known as 'Jumbo'. The majority of the original fittings are preserved, including four oak staircases, fielded panelling, and fireplaces.
