Description

Great Garlands Farmhouse, built in 1753, features a construction of knapped flint with red brick dressings and is rendered on the sides and rear. The farmhouse has red plain tiled roofs and stands two storeys tall with a double range plan. It includes a two-window range with 19th-century double hung vertical sliding sashes that have a single vertical glazing bar. A central brick panel inscribed "This house and stable built by Thos Mashiter, 1753" is a notable feature. The verges are parapetted, and there is a small flint and brick outhouse located on the north-west side.
