Description
The stable range and granary, located 20 metres north of Home Farmhouse, dates from the 18th century with 19th-century additions. It is constructed from coursed squared limestone rubble with ashlar dressings and features roofs made of Collyweston stone slates. The stable range includes a hay loft that has been extended to the north by one bay, connecting it to an existing square-planned, two-storey granary. There are 18th and 19th-century lean-tos on the west side. The east elevation has three halved boarded doors and three two-light windows. The granary has a hipped roof and boarded doors on the east side, and a blocked flue at ground level may suggest it was used as a drying house. The farm was rebuilt in the 18th century by the Duke of Bedford.
