Description
The Church of Saint Nicholas is a Grade II* listed building located in Hockliffe, Church End on Church Lane. It features a chancel constructed from Totternhoe stone and ironstone, dating back to the 14th century, which includes a large trefoil-headed piscina from the same period. The remainder of the church is primarily from the 15th century. The building has an aisleless nave and a cement-rendered tower topped with a battlemented parapet. The south porch showcases a 15th-century four-centred doorway with decorated spandrels. The church underwent restoration in the 19th century.
