Description
Bridge Farmhouse is a house dating from the 16th century, with 19th-century window features. It is constructed with a timber frame and has a colourwashed roughcast exterior, topped with a thatched roof. The building has an L-plan layout, consisting of one storey and attics.
On the left-hand gable, the ground floor features paired round-headed lights beneath a square head, while the first floor has a 2-light round-headed window. The right-hand block has three round-headed lights under a square head and a 2-light window. All the windows are casements. The east elevation of the left-hand gable includes a six-fielded panel door set in a moulded surround, accompanied by a gabled trellis porch. There are colourwashed brick ridge stacks on both wings. The building also displays plaques reading "GT 1801" (for Godfrey Thornton). A 20th-century lean-to addition is located at the rear.
