Description
Westhey Manor is a house dating from the 17th century, constructed with a timber frame and red brick infill, topped with clay tile roofs. The building is designed in an L-plan and has two storeys, along with a 20th-century one-storey and attic addition on the northeast elevation that matches the original style. The main block features two three-light windows on both the ground and first floors, while the cross-wing has two two-light windows on each floor. All windows are 20th-century leaded casements.
At the junction with the cross-wing, the main block has a two-storey porch with a jettied first floor, which includes a 20th-century door and a three-light casement window. There are holes in the apex of the gable that lead to a small dovecote. A rebuilt red brick ridge stack serves a back-to-back hearth and is aligned with the porch. The rear elevation includes 20th-century lean-to additions and a 20th-century gabled dormer on the main block, with all windows and doors also being of 20th-century leaded design.
