Description
Fairfield House is a mid-19th century building located on Fairfield Road. It is constructed of gault brick and has two storeys, with a three-storey section on the east side. The roof is covered with ripped slate and features an eaves cornice. There is a stone band at the eaves and between the storeys. The building has a rectangular plan with a projecting three-storey wing to the northeast, which includes an open arched ground floor. The windows are double-hung sashes with glazing bars and gauged brick heads. Notably, the east elevation features a two-storey arched staircase window, while the entrance front has central first-floor French doors that open onto a stone balustraded balcony above a rectangular porch. The garden front showcases a large full-height circular bay.
