This is a small 17th century barn located to the north of the outbuilding associated with Ivy Cottage in Elmley Castle. It features a timber frame with whitened brick nogging and has a tiled roof. The gable end faces the road. The barn is part of a group that includes Cowper Cottage, Ivy Cottage, and the adjoining outbuilding, all of which share historical significance.
