Description

Barge Lock No. 2 is a barge lock built around 1815. It is constructed of red brick with stone copings and features wooden double gates. This lock is part of a group with Barge Lock No. 1. Historically, the two locks facilitated the passage of boats from the River Severn into Diglis Dock Basin and then onto the Worcester-Birmingham Canal.
