Description

This is an early 19th century terraced range, subsequently altered. The building is constructed of red brick with engraved stucco and roughcast rendering, and extends to two storeys with nine windows. The windows are sash and casement types, lacking glazing bars, and are topped with keyblocks and channelled lintels. A sill band runs along the facade, and the building has moulded stone eaves, stone-coped gabled ends, and a slate roof. Number 7 retains two sash windows on the ground floor, framing a doorway with a Tuscan pilaster doorcase, a pediment, a radial fanlight, and a six-panelled door. A four-centred arch is located on the right-hand side of the range, while the other shop fronts are modern. The building is included on the list for group value.
