Description
Broadgate Standard is a tall, slim mast made of aluminium and gilded aluminium, standing approximately 15 meters high with an octagonal section that gently tapers. At the top, it features a figure of an elephant on a curved, rectangular platform. The elephant is depicted carrying a stylised castle adorned with Latin crosses on its back. This castle has three turrets, with a flag pole and flag positioned over the central turret. At about one third of its height, horizontal spars extend from the north and south sides of the mast, designed to hold banners or flags. The lower part of the mast displays decorative patterns created by bolt heads, and the base is designed with curved plates that resemble the foot of an elephant.
