Description

Summer Lodge is an 18th-century building, altered in the 19th century. It is constructed of red brick with a mansard roof covered in tiles. The building is two storeys high with an attic, featuring three gabled dormers. There are two 19th-century two-storey canted bays. The central ground-floor window is a segmental arch with a keystone, while the first floor has a 19th-century canted wooden oriel bay. A dentil cornice runs along the building. The entrance features a six-panelled door, a traceried fanlight, a surround of pilasters, and an open pediment supported by brackets. A first-floor band runs horizontally across the facade. Summer Lodge is part of a group with numbers 40 to 44 (even) on the street.
