Description

Church Farmhouse is a circa 17th-century timber-framed cottage, largely encased in brick, with an 18th-century extension in red brick. It has steeply pitched plain tile roofs with gable ends. The original section is a single storey and attic, running parallel to the road, while the later two-storey section is at a right angle with a gable facing the road, forming a T-shaped plan. The windows are three-light casements with leaded panes. A gabled dormer is located at eaves level on the original portion. A lean-to porch sits in the angle between the two sections. The farmhouse has two brick ridge chimney stacks, one for each portion.
