Description
The Stirrup Memorial is a large pedestal tomb located approximately 3 meters southeast of the church gate of the Church of All Saints in Dilhorne. This memorial, dedicated to the Stirrup family, dates from the mid-19th century, specifically 1841. It is made of stone and features a stepped and moulded plinth, a squat almost cuboid die with large diagonal buttresses at each corner, and a moulded top slab that continues the diagonal angles, topped with a decorated urn on a moulded surbase. The tomb is prominently and attractively positioned near the entrance to the churchyard, intentionally placed under the shade of a cedar tree.
