Description
The churchyard wall and gateway, located approximately 25 metres to the east of the Church of All Saints, were built in 1821. The wall is made of dressed grey sandstone with a chamfered top, measuring about 40 metres in length and one metre in height. There is a slightly later addition of red sandstone to the north. The gateway features a pair of tapering red sandstone piers, a wrought-iron gate with spearhead railings, dogbars, a dograil, and curved braces. It also has a decorative wrought-iron overthrow with a finial. To the right of the gate, there is a datestone, which was illegible at the time of the survey in December 1985. This structure is included for its group value.
