Railings and retaining wall adjoining Tern Bridge to east.

Railings and retaining wall. Probably late C18. Red brick retaining wall with grey sandstone coping supporting wrought iron railings; approximately 25 metres long. Square-section spear-head railings with moulded bases; square section standards with large spear-heads, moulded bases and curved stanchions at rear. Railings curve over parapet of Tern Bridge (q.v.) abutments. Railings damaged at time of survey (January 1985).
