Description

26 Noble Street is a brick cottage dating from around the 18th century, featuring a gable end facing the road and roughcast exterior. The cottage has a plain tile roof with stone coping on the gable ends and stands two storeys tall. On the first floor, there is one sash window with vertical glazing bars. The ground floor has an early 19th-century double-fronted shop, which includes moulded pilasters, an entablature, glazing bars, glazed central doors, and a rectangular fanlight. To the right, there is a two-storey, one-bay wing from the early 19th century, which has a first-floor sash window and a pedimented doorcase with a plank door. A central brick chimney stack is present. This building is included for its group value.
