Description

The remains of a 12th-century chapel are located to the north-west of Lower Brockhampton Farmhouse. The structure is built from sandstone rubble and tufa, featuring a combined chancel and nave. The chancel, dating from the 13th century, includes lancet windows and a perpendicular east window. The chapel is currently roofless and has likely not been in use since the construction of the new chapel at Brockhampton Park in 1790. The ruins, along with Lower Brockhampton House and the Gatehouse, create a cohesive historical group.
