Description
Whitbourne Court is a building located in Whitbourne, dating primarily from the 18th and 19th centuries, though it includes some medieval and 17th-century elements. Notable features include early 17th-century panelling, a fireplace, and an overmantel with fluted pilasters. The roof of the central block may contain work from the 16th century or earlier. The building has an irregular plan and is faced in roughcast with a slate roof. The front displays five unequal gables, one of which is hipped, and it has two storeys with various sash windows and a fielded panel door flanked by windows. The Church and Lychgate, along with Whitbourne Court and its garden wall, and the Rectory, create a cohesive group.
