Description
The Church of St John the Baptist is a church dating from the late 12th century. It comprises a nave, chancel, north aisle, south porch, and west tower. The south wall of the nave and the south doorway are original from the late 12th century, while the remainder of the nave and chancel were rebuilt in the 13th century. The west tower dates to the 14th century. The church was restored by Perkins of Worcester in 1866, at which time the north aisle was added. A south porch was added in 1887. A late 12th-century font remains. The church, along with the adjacent lychgate, Whitbourne Court, garden wall, and rectory, form a notable group.
