Description

The hop kiln and outhouse at Avenbury, dating from the 18th century, are located to the west of Lower Venn Farmhouse. The hop kiln is constructed of red brick and features a slate pyramid roof. The adjoining outhouse is timber-framed and dates from the 17th century. These structures are included for their group value, as they form a cohesive group with Lower Venn Farmhouse and the surrounding farm buildings.
