Birch Cottage is a 17th-century cottage located in Cradle Stoney Cross. It is constructed of timber frame with plaster panels. The cottage is two storeys high and has three windows, which are modern casements. A small, modern, flat-headed dormer window is present. A modern brick extension has been added. The roof is tiled with gable ends.
