Apple Tree Cottage is a probably early 18th century timber-framed cottage featuring painted brick nogging and plaster panels. The building has one storey and an attic, with two windows that have modern casements. It is topped with a low pitched slate roof with gable ends, and there is a modern door and porch at the entrance.
