Description

Brittain House is a 17th century stone-built house located on Main Street in Dyke. The main gable is positioned at the center of the north elevation, while one side was built up in the 18th century when a stone extension with a red brick front was added. The building has three storeys and features a hipped slate roof. It includes three windows with stone lintels that have keystones and glazing bars. The entrance has a small 18th-century door with six panels and a glazed fanlight. The house also has stone quoins and a brick parapet.
