Description

The gateway and flanking walls in Stubton Hall Park date from the 17th century and are constructed from coursed rubble with pantile coping. The structure features limestone ashlar and includes a round moulded arch set within a rectangular frame, flanked by Tuscan pilasters. At the top, there is a curved duck-billed pediment that is intricately carved with a rustic bouquet, which includes a helmet, stylised flowers, and a coat of arms. This gateway is known to have originated from Fenton Hall.
